The 2026 season is officially underway, and we’re kicking it off with the return of one of our most requested tours — plus a full lineup of your favorite haunted experiences. After a stormy start to the year, power is restored, the buses are fueled, and the spirits are ready.

This year is bigger, darker, and more unpredictable than ever.

A Haunted Adventure Through Northwest Indiana’s Most Legendary Sites — A Special Edition Tour You May Never See Again

The Lake County Demon Run is a four‑hour haunted adventure designed for families, teens, and paranormal fans alike — a journey through the real stories, eerie encounters, and famous legends that have shaped Northwest Indiana’s ghost lore for generations.

This year’s route is brand‑new, launching exclusively from the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond. It replaces the old Crown Point starting point and features locations we’ve never been able to include before. Next year, the tour may return to its classic route… or transform into something entirely different. No one knows for sure — which makes this year’s Demon Run a must‑see while it lasts.

Your journey begins in Hammond, where the spectral firefighters of Station #9 are said to trigger phantom alarms long after their last call. From there, you enter the historic Little Red Schoolhouse, a structure so old that every former student has long passed on — yet investigators continue to capture intelligent EVPs, disembodied footsteps, banging on the walls, and ghostly encounters that keep paranormal teams returning year after year.

At Oak Hill Cemetery, known for its rich history and the many notable figures laid to rest there, shadowy forms drift between the stones and cold spots strike without warning. We will not enter the cemetery itself, but instead watch from its steely gates, waiting for the shadows of the past to reveal themselves.

The tour continues into Dyer and Munster, where the legacy of Agnes Kahler still lingers in the halls of Kahler Middle School. Staff and visitors have reported footsteps in empty corridors, doors that open on their own, and the unmistakable sensation of someone walking just behind them.

After a mid‑route break, the Demon Run heads into Gary — where the stories grow deeper and darker.

You’ll pass the haunted stretch of Cline Avenue, home of the legendary vanishing woman seen by late‑night drivers. Then you’ll approach the historic Ivanhoe Circus Train Wreck Site, where dozens perished in 1918. Many visitors claim to feel a heavy sadness here, and some report seeing figures near the tracks.

The centerpiece of the tour is the infamous Carolina Street Demon House site, once investigated by a well‑known TV ghost hunter whose findings made national headlines. The house was demolished, but locals insist the land still carries the energy of what once happened there — a story that continues to fascinate paranormal fans across the country.

Your final stop is Ross Cemetery, one of the most unsettling locations in Northwest Indiana — and the perfect place to share the true history behind the Reeder Road legend.

Reeder Road itself was closed in the 1970s and now forms part of the bike path at Oak Ridge Prairie Park. No more hitchhikers appear to drivers — but the story of Elizabeth, the young woman who famously vanished from a driver’s car at the cemetery gates, remains one of the region’s most enduring ghost tales. Rumor has it she was buried at Ross Cemetery, and many believe her spirit still lingers there.

Ross Cemetery has its own chilling reputation. Dark figures have been known to throw rocks at visitors. Ghost hunters regularly capture EVPs among the stones. And one year, a shadowy figure with a hook for a hand appeared to a group of Crown Point High School boys, sending them fleeing in terror while the girls laughed in disbelief.

Porter County is home to some of Northwest Indiana’s oldest — and most active — paranormal hotspots. This tour dives into the county’s deep history and the spirits that still walk its streets.

Old Jail Museum A historic lockup with decades of documented activity. Guests have reported seeing ghostly figures, voices calling out, many audio anomolies (EVP), items being thrown and much more!
Opera House A beautiful relic with a tragic past. Actors, stagehands, and visitors have all claimed to see figures throughout the building. From walking foosteps, to hantom apparitions to a little girl that suddenly appears
Porter County Courthouse Justice was served here — but not always fairly. Some say the spirits of the wronged still linger, pacing the halls in search of answers. A former staff member was so frieghtened that he hid underneath a desk and had to be walked out never to come back!
Sunset Hill Farm A peaceful park by day, but at night… guests report strange lights, phantom footsteps, and a presence watching from the treeline.
Scary Cemetery X - Tons of spooky stories. Ghostly figures have appeared in this cemetery on the tour, and much more. Guests have captured unusual photos and it all ties to the Hooisers Nest, a stagecoach stopover only a stones throw away.

Take a deadly trip into South Lake County’s most haunted rural locations — including the infamous Devils Road, the site of a chilling unsolved 1970s murder with a real case file and unidentified victims still listed to this day.
